Registered (RDIMM) and unbuffered (UDIMM) modules cannot share a system. The 13 ECC UDIMMs fit boards that accept ECC unbuffered DDR3 (Xeon E3 and microserver platforms, many workstations; most desktop boards run them with ECC inactive). The 7 RDIMMs fit registered-memory server platforms only (Xeon 5600 and E5 era, HP ProLiant G7/Gen8 and similar). PC3L modules run at 1.35 V or 1.5 V; PC3 modules need 1.5 V. A bank that mixes 1333 and 1600 modules runs at 1333. Check your board’s memory support list before buying.
Where possible, electronics are tested. The value of an item determines the effort put into testing; items not specifically tested in detail are visually inspected and reviewed for operational status.
