It is the first-generation SCB and is the correct fabric generation for DPC line cards; MPC line cards that require higher fabric bandwidth call for SCBE-MX, SCBE2-MX or SCBE3-MX instead, so confirm the SCB generation your line cards require before ordering. The Routing Engine installs directly into the SCB, and Junos OS 8.2 or later is required for the RE-S-2000. Running redundant control planes requires a matching second (MX240/MX480) or second and third (MX960) SCB. The exact RE-S-2000 memory suffix is not legible in the intake photo; ask if the specific RE part number matters for your deployment.
